CHEYYAR HEALTH  DISTRICT PROFILE
                   Cheyyar  Health Unit  District in Tiruvannamalai is comprise of 8 Blocks namely 
1.West Arani, 
2.Arani, 
3.Peranamallur, 
4.Vembakkam, 
5.Cheyyar, 
6.Anakkavur,
 7.Vandavasi,
8.Thellar. 
The population is 9,18,361 and has 426 Village Panchayats,3 Town Panchayats,3 Municipalities. It has 41 Primary Health Centres among which 8 are Block Primary Health Centres and 7 are Upgraded 30 Bedded Primary Health Centres. There are 8 Operation Theatres and two Urban Primary Health Centres all are in functioning status.In total there are 157 Health Sub Centres comes under Primary Health Centres in Cheyyar Health Unit District. Most of the people are middle and low economic status and labours.
                   The following services are provided in Primary Health Centres and Health Sub Centres : Ante Natal Care,Intra Natal Care,Post Natal Care Services.Family Planing Services,Immunisation,Maternal Care,Disease Surveillance, Control of Outbreak, Health Education, etc.,Most of the national programmes like Pulse Polio Immunisation,DEC MDA,NRHM Activities,IDSP,etc.,also provided to Public.

Dr. Muthulakshmi Reddy Maternity Benefit Scheme
Scheme details
In TamilNadu, every year about 11.0 lakhs deliveries are occurring in Rural & Urban areas. 99.8% deliveries are institutional deliveries. Out of which 67% of the deliveries are conducted in Government institutions.
Benefit funds is to be enhanced to Rs.12, 000/-
The cash assistance will be given in three installments on conditional release and restricted for two deliveries only.
Completion of Online entry is compulsory & conditions mentioned should be ensured before release of all 3 installment funds.
Eligibility / Selection Criteria

The pregnant mother should be of age 19 years and above.
This cash assistance will be given to every pregnant woman

1. Who avails all required health services during pregnancy in Govt. institution
2. Mother who delivers in the Government institution
3. Completion of immunization for the child Up to 3rd dose of DPT.

SHN login and verifies the beneficiaries list

BMO login - Approves and prepares proceedings, funds claimed from Treasury - Funds received from Treasury
BMO send the list of approved mothers to bank for fund transfer and updates payment details after receiving feedback from bank
IInd Installment
Institutions enter details of deliveries conducted by them online using PICME number
CHN / WMO at Urban login and consolidates the eligible beneficiaries list of all PHCs / Urban Units
BMO / responsible person in urban login and approves the list of mothers –Claims funds from treasury deposit in BMO’s account –Finalise the beneficiary list send to bank for fund transfer and updates payment details after receiving feedback from bank
If the mother not produced PICME number and got delivered in a hospital or her delivery details is not entered by the institution into PICME, the VHN / MPHW shall enter delivery details in PICME after receiving a copy of birth certificate from the mother.
IIIrd Installment
VHN / MPHW enter immunisation details in to PICME
CHN /WMO login and consolidates the eligible beneficiaries list of all PHCs / urban units. Before 3rd installment payment, SHN / CHN should ensure that the Birth certificate entries are made in PICME by physically verifying the birth certificate of the child.
BMO / responsible person login and approves the list of mothers - Claims funds from treasury deposit in BMO’s account –Finalise the beneficiary list send to bank for fund transfer and updates payment details after receiving feedback from bank.



Time Schedule
SHN should sign the format on 20th of every month & Submit the list to the Medical Officer Of the PHC.
Medical Officer, Certifies the eligibility list, Prepared and finalized by SHN and send it to Block PHC before 25th of every month.
CHN prepares Eligible beneficiary list of all PHCs prepared on 25th of every month by taking print out from PICME. CHN should sign the report format & Submit the list to BMO.
BMO Finalize the beneficiary list prepared &Signs the list before 30th of every month.
Based on the list, amount is claimed from treasury and deposited to bank account .
BMO/ Commissioner finalize & approves the list of beneficiaries and send it to Bank with Bank account number , Bank code for release funds to the beneficiaries account, through Transfer of funds.
Amount released to beneficiaries, during 5th -10th of every month by bank officials.
After release of each installment amount through Transfer of funds to the beneficiary’s A/c , beneficiary list to be given to the BMO.
All PHCs disbursement details should be entered in MRMBS software at Block.

Entries should be done only for the mothers having PICME number with her during delivery
